Senior DevOps Engineer to $5000

We are hiring a Senior DevOps Engineer for a fast-growing product company building a scalable cloud-based platform. The system handles real production workloads and requires a strong focus on reliability, automation, and performance across the entire infrastructure layer.

The platform is built as a cloud-native system running on GCP, with modern CI/CD pipelines, containerized services, and infrastructure as code. The engineering team is focused on delivering high-quality software with strong operational excellence, while continuously improving system scalability and resilience.

In this role you will take ownership of the DevOps domain, working closely with engineering teams to design, implement, and maintain infrastructure and deployment pipelines. You will play a key role in ensuring system stability, security, and performance, while driving automation and best practices across the organization.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain scalable, secure, and highly available cloud infrastructure on GCP

• Build and manage CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions

• Automate software delivery and deployment processes end-to-end

• Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting systems to ensure reliability and performance

• Collaborate with development teams to optimize applications and troubleshoot production issues

• Drive infrastructure as code practices using Terraform

• Enforce security best practices across infrastructure and services

• Automate operational workflows to reduce manual effort and improve efficiency

• Participate in on-call rotations and resolve critical production incidents

• Mentor engineers and contribute to overall DevOps maturity

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in DevOps or infrastructure engineering

• Strong hands-on experience with GCP in production environments

• Solid experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines

• Strong knowledge of containerization and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes

• Experience with infrastructure as code using Terraform

• Strong understanding of networking and security principles

• Experience with scripting and automation

• Ability to troubleshoot complex production issues

• Strong communication skills and ownership mindset

Nice to Have

• Experience building custom Terraform providers

• Background in microservices architecture

• Experience with SQL or NoSQL databases

• Experience with performance optimization and system tuning

• Relevant cloud certifications
