We are currently looking for a DevOps Team Lead who is passionate about building reliable infrastructure, leading strong engineering teams, and maintaining high availability in high-load environments.
Tech Stack: AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform, Helm, GitHub Actions, VictoriaMetrics, Grafana, New Relic, Aurora, Redis, Cloudflare, Python/Bash.
Your Responsibilities
You will take ownership of the platformβs reliability and scalability, driving the team toward operational excellence.
- Team Leadership: Lead and develop the DevOps team, define technical direction, improve delivery processes (including hiring and performance reviews), and promote a strong engineering culture.
- Infrastructure as Code: Architect and maintain scalable, multi-account AWS infrastructure using Terraform and Helm, while promoting GitOps practices for consistent and predictable environment management.
- Kubernetes Management: Oversee the development and maintenance of highly available EKS clusters, focusing on autoscaling, networking (CNI/Service Mesh), and efficient resource utilization.
- Operational Excellence: Enhance CI/CD processes and ensure stable delivery pipelines. Maintain 99.9%+ system availability through monitoring, incident management, and proactive performance improvements.
- Security & Compliance: Improve platform security by implementing Zero-Trust principles, managing IAM and secrets, and overseeing Cloudflare security features (WAF, DDoS protection).
- Database Reliability: Ensure stability of stateful services such as MySQL/Aurora and Redis by implementing backup automation, failover mechanisms, and performance tuning.
- Cross-team Collaboration: Work closely with Backend, Product, and QA teams to align infrastructure development with business needs and remove bottlenecks in the delivery process.
What we expect from you
- Experience: 5+ years in DevOps, including at least 2 years in a leadership role (team coordination, mentoring, reporting).
- AWS Expertise: Strong knowledge of AWS ecosystem, including multi-account setups, networking, security best practices, and cost optimization.
- Kubernetes Expertise: Advanced hands-on experience with EKS, including high-availability setups, networking, PodDisruptionBudgets, NodeGroups, and Service Mesh technologies (e.g., Cilium/eBPF).
- IaC & GitOps: Solid experience with Terraform (modular, multi-environment setups) and GitOps tools like FluxCD or ArgoCD.
- CI/CD: Experience designing scalable and secure pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins) for PHP and Go applications.
- Observability: Deep knowledge of monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Alertmanager, New Relic, Sentry) and building effective alerting and metrics strategies.
- Security Fundamentals: Understanding of network segmentation, SSL/TLS, secrets management (AWS Secrets Manager / External Secrets Operator), and compliance basics.
- Automation: Strong scripting skills in Python or Bash for automation and internal tooling.
Nice to have
- Architecture: Experience designing multi-region and multi-cloud systems, cross-cluster networking, and disaster recovery solutions.
- Streaming: Experience with Kafka/MSK or similar event streaming platforms.
- Compliance: Familiarity with PCI DSS or similar standards.
- Performance: Good understanding of Linux internals and advanced caching approaches (Redis, Cloudflare, S3 tiering).
- Cost Optimization: Experience in FinOps practices and cloud cost optimization strategies.
