We are looking for a Software Support Engineer to join a project for a telecom operator. You will be responsible for monitoring, performing ticket and service interruption analyses, timely resolution of incidents and failures, and minimising business impact by providing and developing workarounds.

 

All you need is....

  • 3+ years of experience
  • Troubleshoot and resolve application issues, implementing workarounds and proactive measures to prevent future occurrences.
  • Participate in on-call rotations and provide timely incident response and resolution.
  • Willing to work in shifts and a weekend support model.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in fast-paced environments.
  • Must have the ability to see the full End-to-end picture, including impact on the customer.
  • Perform ticket analysis and service interruption analysis.
  • Ensure timely resolution or escalation within the agreed SLA. This includes creating positive customer support experience and building strong relationships through understanding the problem, communicating promptly on progress, and handling customers with a professional attitude.          
  • You will analyze and fix order fallouts from various applications, journalize manual billing requests, process payments, and customize miscellaneous activities

 

Critical Experiences:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Technical Skills of Rest API
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Shell, Python or Bash.
  • Familiarity with containerization tools like Docker and container orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
  • Must have experience of working with microservices.
  • Experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, ELK stack, Grafana).
  • Practical experience with NoSQL databases, such as Couchbase and HBase.
  • Hands-on expertise in PostgreSQL
  • Practical experience with Unix / Linux Scripting
  • Proficiency in English communication, both written and verbal.

 

Good to have:

  • Familiarity with any similar Business Support System (BSS).
  • Knowledge of REACT and Redux is considered an added advantage.
  • Proficiency in Core Java and Java scripting
  • Knowledge of API Man
  • Knowledge of Diameter Protocol is a plus
