Machine Learning Specialist $$

We are Cacao Mobile. For over 10 years, we have been building mobile applications in Health & Wellness, Entertainment, and Utilities, reaching thousands of users worldwide.
 

We are currently looking for a Machine Learning Specialist for a part-time, project-based collaboration (4 hours per day).
 

About the project:
A mobile application that measures heart rate and heart rate variability (HRV) using PPG technology.
 

What you’ll be doing:
- Develop and improve models for blood pressure prediction based on PPG;
- Fine-tune and optimize models on limited and noisy data (~3k signals);
- Improve prediction quality (including for calibrated users);
- Signal processing (filtering, transformations, feature engineering);
- Work on tasks without explicit labels (clustering, PCA, pattern discovery);
- Solve additional tasks on the same signal (stress, energy, etc.);
- Develop algorithms and personalized user baselines;
- Conduct research and analyze new approaches.
 

What will help you succeed in this role:
- 1+ year of hands-on experience in Machine Learning;
- Strong background in signal processing;
- Experience working with noisy real-world data;
- Experience in supervised and unsupervised learning;
- Experience working with incomplete / imperfect labels;
- Ability to solve open-ended problems;
- Research mindset (working with papers, analyzing approaches);
- Nice to have: experience with PPG or understanding of blood pressure.
