Business Development Manager (Payments) $$$

We are looking for a Business Development Manager to drive the growth and expansion of our payment direction by identifying new payment partners, negotiating favorable terms, and launching effective payment solutions across key regions, with a strong focus on Africa.

Responsibilities:

• Identify and onboard new PSPs (Payment Service Providers)
• Conduct market research with a focus on the African payments landscape
• Source and evaluate potential partners aligned with company requirements
• Lead negotiations on fees, risks, and cooperation terms
• Align legal, financial, and technical conditions with partners
• Launch new payment methods and solutions
• Collaborate with integration teams and support partners until production launch
• Coordinate communication between PSPs, tech teams, and internal stakeholders
• Develop and strengthen existing partnerships
• Optimize current payment solutions (limits, fees, features)
• Analyze PSP performance (conversion rates, costs) and drive improvements
• Monitor market trends and competitor activity

• Propose innovative solutions and alternative payment methods

   

Requirements:

• 2+ years of experience in payments, fintech, or e-commerce
• Strong understanding of payment infrastructure and payment methods
• Hands-on experience negotiating with PSPs
• Experience with contracts, NDA, and aligning legal/financial/technical terms
• Strong analytical skills (conversion, commissions, performance metrics)
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and drive initiatives
• English level B2+ or higher
• Willingness to travel for business trips

Nice to have:

• Degree in Economics, Finance, Management, or International Business
  (However, practical experience and negotiation skills are more important than formal education.)
• Proven experience working with the African market (payments)
