DevOps Engineer

$$

We’re looking for a Part-time DevOps Engineer who can support and improve our infrastructure, help stabilize deployment processes, and make development workflows faster and more reliable. This role is focused on maintenance and troubleshooting of existing systems rather than building new architecture from scratch.

Key Responsibilities

  • Infrastructure Support: Maintain and optimize cloud infrastructure, primarily on AWS (EC2, S3, Lambda) and support deployment environments managed via Coolify, manage Hetzner bare metal servers, and handle administration and troubleshooting of Linux-based systems.
  • Build Stabilization: Diagnose and resolve build failures related to Payload CMS, MongoDB, and Node.js.
  • CI/CD Management: Assist in maintaining and fixing CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, etc.) to ensure smooth deployments.
  • Access & Security: Manage user permissions, IAM roles, and environment security.
  • Monitoring & Logs: Monitor system performance, manage logs, and assist in rapid incident resolution.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with developers to hotfix infrastructure-related blockers as they arise.

Requirements

  • 1.5+ years of hands-on experience as a DevOps / Cloud / System Engineer.
  • Deployment platforms: Experience working with Coolify or similar self-hosted deployment platforms.
  • Strong AWS experience: Practical production-level usage of EC2, S3, and IAM is a must.
  • Solid hands-on experience with Linux-based systems, including server administration, troubleshooting, command-line operations, and basic networking/system diagnostics.
  • Experience working with Hetzner servers and bare metal infrastructure, including setup, maintenance, troubleshooting, and performance monitoring.
  • Problem-solving mindset: Proven ability to fix failed builds and debug infrastructure issues.
  • Tech stack: Understanding of Node.js runtime environments and MongoDB; experience with Payload CMS will be a strong plus.
  • Containerization: Solid experience with Docker.
  • CI/CD tools: Familiarity with GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or similar.
  • Availability: Ready to dedicate 2–4 hours daily to handle operational tasks and urgent fixes.
  • English: Intermediate level, comfortable for technical communication.
