🌟About the Role:

We’re looking for a Senior Full-Stack WordPress Engineer to join the core R&D team and build new WordPress, PHP-, and React-based features for a product used by millions of websites worldwide. In this role, you will own features end to end — from technical design and architecture to development, testing, and release — while helping maintain a stable and scalable codebase.

You will work on WordPress-based development across the platform, including editor features, plugin functionality, and React-based frontend experiences. This role offers strong ownership, close collaboration with product, design, and engineering teams, and the opportunity to work on complex use cases such as dynamic content, Gutenberg-related development, and cross-plugin integrations.

💻 Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop new user-facing features using PHP and React/JavaScript (ES6+)
• Contribute to the technical design of platform components and help build reliable, high-quality solutions
• Maintain and extend a WordPress plugin used by millions of websites
• Support a complex product with many different use cases, used by millions of websites and customers worldwide
• Ensure the technical feasibility, performance, and quality of UI/UX solutions
• Write and maintain automated tests, including unit and end-to-end tests, to support system stability
• Optimize code for performance, security, and cross-browser compatibility
• Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and engineers on feature requirements and implementation
• Use AI-powered development tools as part of the daily workflow for coding, debugging, and development support

 📝 Required Competence and Skills:

• 6+ years of full-stack development experience.
• 3+ years of experience with PHP and WordPress development, including plugin architecture and custom theme/plugin development.
• 3+ years of experience with React, JavaScript (ES6+), CSS, and building responsive web interfaces.
• Proven experience working with MySQL, including database design and optimization.
• Strong understanding of web application fundamentals, including security, performance, and cross-browser compatibility.
• Experience writing automated tests (unit and E2E) and following secure development practices.
• Hands-on experience using AI-powered development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT) to support coding, debugging, and day-to-day development tasks.
• Strong English communication skills.

➕Nice to Have:

• Hands-on experience with Elementor or other WordPress plugins at scale.
• Contributions to or maintenance of open-source projects.
• Experience with SCSS.
• Familiarity with Playwright for end-to-end testing.
