What You’ll Do

  • Data Analysis: Analyse large financial datasets from trading systems and market sources to support risk, compliance, and performance teams.
  • Visualization: Develop dashboards and reporting tools in Tableau, Power BI, or Looker.
  • Query Development: Write complex SQL queries across Oracle and cloud databases such as BigQuery, Redshift, and Athena.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with traders, risk officers, and compliance to deliver insights into trade behaviour, exposure, and anomalies.
  • Agile Iteration: Work within Agile teams to continuously iterate on reporting and data model enhancements.
  • Data Integrity: Ensure data accuracy, completeness, and consistency across platforms.

     

What You Bring

  • SQL Mastery: Strong SQL skills, specifically with Oracle, GCP BigQuery, and AWS Athena or Redshift.
  • BI Expertise: Proven experience with BI tools like Tableau, Power BI, Looker, or equivalent
  • Financial Knowledge: Understanding of financial instruments, including equities, derivatives, and FX.
  • Cloud Environments: Experience with cloud data environments, particularly GCP, is a strong advantage.
  • Scripting: Basic scripting experience in Python or R is considered a plus.
  • Communication: Strong communication skills for working effectively with non-technical stakeholders.
  • Agile Experience: Experience working in Agile teams using Scrum or Kanban.

     

Nice to Have

  • Familiarity with market data sources like Bloomberg or Refinitiv.
  • Experience in risk reporting or regulatory reporting (e.g., MiFID II, EMIR)
