Business Analyst / Product Owner
We are looking for a Business Analyst / Product Owner to help shape and drive the evolution of a database optimization tool. This role combines business analysis, product ownership, and user experience/process design.
The ideal candidate will be able to gather and structure business requirements, translate stakeholder needs into clear product features, work closely with technical teams, and contribute to the design of user flows and UI elements. This person should be comfortable operating between business stakeholders, engineering, and end users.
This is a strong fit for someone with 2β4 years of experience who enjoys turning ideas and operational needs into well-defined product capabilities and intuitive user experiences.
Key Responsibilities
1) Business Analysis & Requirements Development
- Gather, analyze, and document business requirements for software product capabilities and enhancements
- Conduct stakeholder interviews and working sessions to understand business goals, user pain points, and process gaps
- Translate high-level business needs into detailed functional requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and use cases
- Create and maintain product documentation, including requirements documents, process flows, feature definitions, and release notes
- Identify dependencies, assumptions, risks, and gaps in requirements early in the product lifecycle
Ensure requirements are clear, testable, and aligned with business and technical objectives
2) Product Ownership
- Act as Product Owner for the database optimization tool and related modules
- Define and prioritize product backlog items based on business value, customer impact, and technical feasibility
- Collaborate closely with engineering, QA, and stakeholders to clarify scope and refine requirements
- Own feature definition for both backend-driven functionality and user-facing workflows
- Participate in sprint planning, backlog grooming, sprint reviews, and release planning
- Make day-to-day decisions on product priorities, tradeoffs, and incremental delivery
Help define product roadmap themes and recommend feature priorities based on user needs and business goals
3) UI / UX and Process Design
- Design and document user workflows, screen logic, and interaction flows
- Partner with technical teams and stakeholders to create intuitive UI concepts and efficient user journeys
- Produce wireframes, mockups, screen definitions, or annotated UI requirements as needed
- Ensure the product experience is clear, consistent, and aligned with user goals
- Improve usability by identifying friction points in the user journey and proposing practical design improvements
Help define how complex technical information should be presented in a user-friendly way
4) Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Serve as a bridge between business stakeholders, engineering, QA, and end users
- Communicate product decisions, requirement changes, and priorities clearly across teams
- Support QA by validating requirements, reviewing test scenarios, and helping ensure delivered features meet expectations
- Participate in demos and feedback sessions, capturing follow-up improvements and next steps

Required Qualifications
- 2β4 years of experience in one or more of the following roles:
- Business Analyst
- Product Owner
- Product Analyst
- Functional Analyst
- Experience gathering and documenting software requirements
- Experience writing user stories, functional requirements, workflows, and acceptance criteria
- Ability to work with both business stakeholders and technical teams
- Experience participating in Agile / Scrum product development processes
- Strong analytical thinking and structured problem-solving skills
- Good communication and documentation skills
Ability to organize ambiguity into clear action items and deliverables
Preferred Qualifications
- General understanding of databases and basic database concepts, such as:

- Experience working on B2B software, technical platforms, monitoring tools, analytics tools, or infrastructure-related products
- Experience designing wireframes, user flows, or UI requirements
- Experience with tools such as Jira, Confluence, Figma, Lucidchart, Miro, or similar
- Strong English communication skills, written and verbal
