Softoria is a multi-product software company creating solutions in Data as a Service, Big Data, Mobile Apps, and Security Products. We’re looking for a proactive person to source IT projects for acquisition or investment.

The role includes identifying opportunities, reaching out to founders, gathering key information, and building a strong deal pipeline. A mix of technical thinking (automation, scraping, outreach) and strong communication skills is essential.


Responsibilities:

  • Source IT projects for potential acquisition or investment
  • Set up and optimize parsing/scraping of sources to identify relevant projects and founders’ contacts
  • Automate outreach processes (email, LinkedIn, and other channels)
  • Identify and contact product owners/founders
  • Conduct negotiations and build strong, trust-based relationships
  • Collect and validate key information about potential targets
  • Perform initial evaluation of core business metrics: revenue, profit, downloads, DAU/MAU
  • Analyze investment attractiveness of projects
  • Build and manage deal flow pipeline
  • Independently learn and adapt to new tools, niches, and monetization models

Requirements:

  • Excellent English (spoken and written)
  • Experience with scraping, parsing sources, and collecting contacts
  • Ability to automate outreach and prospecting processes
  • Strong understanding of business metrics: revenue, profit, downloads, DAU/MAU
  • Knowledge of IT/digital products 
  • Market research and product evaluation skills
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to build rapport and extract key information from founders
  • Proactive, self-driven, and results-oriented
  • Quick learner, able to understand new tools, niches, and monetization models

Example tasks (To give you a clear idea of the work):

1. Mobile apps (Android)
Find apps in a specific niche (e.g., app locker), contact developers, and explore acquisition opportunities.

2. API / SaaS products
Research projects in a niche (e.g., sports APIs), evaluate their metrics and business potential.

3. Chrome extensions
Identify extensions with traffic and reach out to owners.

4. Startup acquisition (legal cases)
Example: find a certified startup in Portugal available for acquisition.
