Full-stack GIS Developer (Java + JavaScript) to $6000

We are working with a product IT company GIS-Point, focused on geospatial data, mapping, and 3D visualization solutions. The team already has a product in production (MVP stage) and is now активно scaling and developing it further. We are looking for a Full-stack Developer to strengthen the team.

Responsibilities

• Development and scaling of a web GIS product using Java (Spring Boot) and JavaScript.
• Building and maintaining REST APIs and backend logic.
• Working on the frontend, including integration of mapping (OpenLayers) and 3D visualization (three.js / Potree).
• Working with PostgreSQL and PostGIS for geospatial data processing.
• Integration of authentication solutions (Keycloak / OIDC).
• Participation in deployments using Docker and working with infrastructure.
• Close collaboration with the product team and participation in daily stand-ups.

What makes you a good fit

• 3+ years of experience in full-stack development.
• Strong expertise in Java + Spring Boot and JavaScript.
• Good understanding of REST APIs and modern web application architecture.
• Experience with or strong interest in GIS / geospatial data / mapping.
• Experience working with Git in a team environment.
• English at a working communication level.

Working conditions

• Remote-first setup.
• Team: full-stack GIS team, managed by a Product Owner.
• Product: MVP already in production, active development phase.
• Processes: Agile, daily stand-ups, Git-based workflow.
• Duration: 3–6 months with possible extension.
• Budget: $3,000–$5,000 per month.
• Trial period: 1 month.
