QA Engineer - ASAP

This is a great opportunity to join a cross-functional product team responsible for building high-quality reporting and analytics modules within a modern SaaS platform. In this role, the QA Engineer will play an important part in ensuring the reliability, accuracy, and usability of new product features.

You will work closely with the Product, Engineering, and Design teams, validating end-to-end user flows and ensuring that data moves correctly from backend services to frontend presentation.

This is a greenfield project, offering the opportunity to influence testing approaches, shape quality standards, and contribute to the stability of an important international product.


Engagement Details

  • Start date: as soon as possible
  • Initial contract term: until August 2026, with the possibility of extension
  • Work format: fully remote
  • Schedule: 8 hours per day, with availability required during UK business hours
    Core hours: 9:00 AM โ€“ 5:00 PM UK time


About the Project

The QA Engineer will be involved in testing new reporting and analytics modules within a SaaS platform, ensuring that the functionality is stable, reliable, and production-ready.


Key testing areas:

  • validation of reporting dashboards and analytics views
  • validation of data flow from backend APIs to frontend UI
  • end-to-end testing of user workflows
  • regression testing for sprint releases


The QA Engineer will also work closely with frontend and backend engineers to identify issues early and help ensure smooth releases.

Architecture and Tooling

The platform is a modern web-based SaaS product combining frontend applications, backend APIs, and analytics services.


Product stack:

  • web-based frontend applications
  • backend services powered by APIs
  • analytics and reporting modules


Testing tools:

  • E2E frameworks such as Cypress, Playwright, or Selenium
  • test case management and task tracking in Jira
  • API validation and frontend/backend integration testing


Infrastructure:

  • cloud-hosted SaaS platform
  • agile development environment with sprint-based releases


Required Experience and Skills

Technical:

  • 3+ years of experience designing and executing end-to-end tests for web applications
  • solid experience with Jira and QA processes in agile teams
  • experience validating frontend/backend integration
  • ability to clearly identify, document, and communicate the root cause of issues
  • experience working with API-driven systems


Nice to have:

  • hands-on experience with E2E automation tools such as:
    • Cypress
    • Playwright
    • Selenium


Also beneficial:

  • experience simulating unstable network conditions or connectivity disruptions during testing
  • understanding of or practical experience with automated test pipelines


Business & Delivery

  • English level C1 or higher
  • experience working in distributed remote teams
  • comfortable working in a SCRUM environment
  • experience collaborating closely with Product Managers and Engineers

Key Responsibilities

  • design and execute end-to-end test plans for reporting and analytics features
  • create and maintain test cases in Jira
  • validate full user workflows across frontend and backend systems
  • collaborate with engineers and product managers to clarify requirements and acceptance criteria
  • support regression testing before releases
  • contribute to the development of E2E automation coverage, where applicable
  • actively participate in agile ceremonies and raise quality concerns early


Success Criteria

The successful candidate will:

  • quickly establish reliable E2E coverage for new features
  • identify and document issues clearly and efficiently
  • collaborate effectively with the engineering team to remove blockers before release
  • contribute to stable deployments and a low level of regression defects

  • Mac requirements: M2 or newer, 32 GB RAM, 1 TB storage
