Chief Technology Officer (CTO)
Come Back Agency supports US software and technology companies by running their hiring process. We work with delivery and leadership teams to define roles, screen candidates, and manage interviews. Successful candidates are hired directly by the company and become part of its team.
This position is with a software development company that builds and maintains custom digital products for international clients. The company works with web and mobile technologies and focuses on delivering scalable, high-quality software solutions.
The CTO will be responsible for leading the company’s technical direction, overseeing engineering teams, and ensuring the quality and scalability of the technology stack. This role combines deep technical expertise, team leadership, and strategic decision-making.
Team members work in distributed teams and collaborate closely with internal stakeholders and project teams.
What We’re Looking For:
- Strong technical background in software development and system architecture
- Experience in a leadership role such as Tech Lead, Head of Engineering, or CTO
- Experience leading and mentoring engineering teams
- Deep understanding of modern web and mobile development technologies
- Experience designing scalable architectures and making key technical decisions
- Ability to optimize development processes and improve engineering efficiency
- Experience participating in the hiring process and evaluating technical specialists
- Strong communication skills and the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Fluent English (written and spoken), with confident technical communication
- Understanding of AI-enabled systems, AI integrations, or working with AI tools in production software
Technology Stack:
Engineering teams in the company work with the following technologies:
- React
- React Native
- Node.js
- Python
- Flutter
The CTO will oversee teams working with these technologies and ensure architectural consistency and technical quality across projects.
What You’ll Do:
- Define and guide the technical direction of the company, ensuring scalable and maintainable solutions across projects
- Review and support architecture decisions made by development teams
- Mentor engineers and help teams grow their technical expertise and efficiency
- Evaluate technical performance and help identify opportunities for team improvement
- Participate in technical hiring, including interviews and candidate evaluation
- Support teams in solving complex technical challenges and improving development practices
- Collaborate with project managers and leadership to ensure technical alignment with business goals
- Communicate with US-based clients and stakeholders, occasionally joining calls to explain technical decisions and project architecture
Nice to Have:
