Business Analyst Reporting

We are seeking a seasoned Business Analyst to join a high-priority Regulatory Reporting initiative for a premier enterprise banking client. This is a strategic consulting role for a mature professional capable of navigating the intersection of business logic, complex data structures, and rigorous reporting standards.

In this role, you will be the bridge between regulatory demands and technical execution, ensuring that our client meets its obligations for AnaCredit, COREP, FINREP, LCR, and local Baltic reporting requirements.

Core Responsibilities

As a lead consultant on this project, you will:

• Drive Requirements Engineering: Elicit and document functional, non-functional, and data requirements for large-scale reporting initiatives.
• Bridge Business & Tech: Translate complex regulatory mandates into actionable technical specifications for development and testing teams.
• Data Analysis & Mapping: Analyze datasets to define validation logic, sourcing rules, and data quality standards.
• Stakeholder Orchestration: Facilitate alignment between Data Stewards, Dev Ops, and Business Delivery teams to ensure seamless end-to-end reporting.
• Strategic Oversight: Maintain an overarching view of the data domain to ensure consistency across reporting outputs and supervisory expectations.

Candidate Profile (Must-Haves)

Experience & Expertise:

• Analytic Foundation: 3+ years in Finance, BI, or IT, with at least 2 years focused specifically on Business Analysis and process modeling.
• Regulatory Domain Knowledge: Deep understanding of banking products and hands-on experience in one or more of the following: AnaCredit, COREP, FINREP, LCR, or local Baltic regulatory frameworks.
• Data Literacy: 2+ years working with data-centric projects (Data Warehouse concepts, data mapping, and technical metadata).
• Technical Toolkit: Proficiency in SQL for data interrogation, plus expert use of Jira, Confluence, and MS Office.

Soft Skills & Education:

• Analytical Mindset: Ability to distill complex datasets into clear, structured insights.
• Communication: Fluent English (written/verbal) with the ability to "challenge" requirements and advocate for quality.
• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, IT, or Risk Management.
