Payroll Accountant

Our pace is our competitive advantage. KMA grows at least 3x year over year, and we are looking for a Payroll Accountant who will be responsible for accurate and timely payroll processing, payroll reporting, and compliance with local legislation.
This role plays an important part in ensuring payroll accuracy, financial transparency, and reliable payroll operations across the company.

Responsibilities
• Full-cycle payroll processing for employees and contractors
• Preparation of payroll registers with detailed compensation breakdowns
• Ensuring timely payroll processing and related payments
• Monthly reconciliation of payroll-related accounts (salaries, payables, tax liabilities, accruals)
• Cross-functional coordination with HR, Finance, and Operations regarding hires, terminations, salary changes, and leave
• Preparation of payroll reports for management and internal stakeholders
• Maintenance and control of payroll documentation
• Support during payroll-related audits and tax inspections
• Preparation and submission of payroll tax reports in accordance with local legislation
• Participation in payroll process improvement and automation initiatives

Requirements
• Practical experience in full-cycle payroll calculation
• Experience with payroll tax reporting and statutory filings
• Experience with vacation and sick leave calculations
• Experience with termination settlements
• Practical experience with payroll modules in ERP systems
• Strong skills in payroll accounts reconciliation
• Excel — Advanced
• English — B1+

Will be a plus
• Experience with payroll reporting in Cyprus
• Experience using AI tools in work processes
• Experience with process automation and payroll reporting optimization

Soft skills
• Strong attention to detailі and accuracy in payroll calculations and reporting
• Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks during payroll cycles and reporting deadlines
• Ability to manage multiple payroll cycles simultaneously (employees and contractors)
• Ownership and accountability for payroll accuracy and timelines
• Clear communication and effective cross-team collaboration with HR, Finance, and Operations on payroll matters
• Ability to handle sensitive payroll and financial information with strict confidentiality
