Data Scientist / Data Analyst

QIT Software is seeking an experienced Data Scientist or Data Analyst to help export, clean, analyze, and report on data from multiple systems. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills in SQL and either R or Python, experience working with Firebase data, and the ability to build clear dashboards and reports using Microsoft Fabric and Power BI.

This role will involve transforming raw data into meaningful insights that can support operational and strategic decision-making. The position requires someone comfortable working with large datasets, structuring data pipelines, and presenting insights in a clear and actionable format.

Requirements:
- Strong experience with SQL for querying and data manipulation
- Proficiency in R or Python for data analysis
- Experience exporting and working with Firebase data
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric and Power BI for reporting and dashboard development
- Experience with data cleaning, ETL processes, and dataset normalization
- Ability to translate complex data into clear visual reports and insights
- Strong communication and documentation skills

Responsibilities:
- Export and consolidate data from multiple sources including Firebase and SQL databases
- Clean, transform, and structure raw datasets for analysis and reporting
- Write efficient SQL queries to extract and manipulate data
- Perform data analysis using R or Python
- Design and maintain dashboards and reports using Microsoft Fabric and Power BI
- Identify trends, anomalies, and insights from operational or customer data
- Document data models, processes, and queries for ongoing reporting
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand reporting needs and deliver actionable insights

Would be a plus:

- Experience building automated data pipelines
- Experience integrating multiple data sources (APIs, cloud databases, SaaS tools)
- Experience working with large operational or customer datasets
- Familiarity with cloud data environments
