Computer Vision Engineer (Polarization / 3D Reconstruction)
DeepX is looking for a Computer Vision Engineer to develop high-precision 3D reconstruction systems based on polarization imaging.
In this role, you will work at the intersection of computer vision, optical physics, and geometry, building algorithms that extract detailed surface information from polarimetric data using Shape-from-Polarization (SfP) techniques.
Core requirements:
โ Strong understanding of polarized light physics and Stokes vector representation;
โ Solid knowledge of linear algebra and vector calculus for coordinate transformations and 3D geometry;
โ Experience implementing algorithms in Python (NumPy, SciPy);
โ Practical experience with computer vision libraries such as OpenCV or scikit-image;
โ Ability to extract reliable signals from noisy imaging data.
Nice to have:
โ Experience with Shape-from-Polarization (SfP) or other Shape-from-X methods;
โ Understanding of surface normals, depth maps, and 3D reconstruction pipelines;
โ Experience working with polarization cameras;
โ Knowledge of light reflection and scattering on different materials;
โ Experience with normal integration methods for surface reconstruction.
