PHP Tech Lead

We are looking for an experienced PHP Tech Lead  who will take ownership of existing services, drive technical improvements, and lead the engineering team through product growth and architecture evolution.

This role requires a strong technical leader who can deeply understand current systems, identify bottlenecks, fix architectural problems, and guide the team toward clear technical goals.

Responsibilities:

• Lead technical development of existing services and launch new ones
• Audit current projects, identify weaknesses, and propose improvements
• Take full ownership of the development flow: from technical task creation to production deployment
• Suggest and implement technical innovations
• Participate in projects as Tech Lead / Team Lead
• Manage and grow the engineering team
• Define clear technical direction for the team and each team member
• Collaborate closely with product and cross-functional teams
• Solve complex technical issues and support architecture decisions

• Coach, mentor, and develop engineers

   

Requirements:

• 6+ years of commercial experience with PHP
• 2+ years of experience as Team Lead / Tech Lead
• Deep knowledge of PHP 7+ / PHP 8+
• Strong experience with Laravel
• Strong knowledge of OOP, Design Patterns, DDD
• Solid understanding of SOLID / KISS / DRY principles
• Experience with relational databases
• Experience with high-load systems, especially consumers
• Experience writing tests with PHPUnit
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills

• Leadership mindset with ownership and responsibility

   

Will be a plus:

• Experience with Event Sourcing
• Experience with CQRS
• Experience with Microservices architecture
• Experience in gambling domain
