The company has offices in the US, EU and Ukraine and is on a mission to increase the defensive capabilities of the Free World. Its name is a reference to Isaac Asimov’s three laws of robotics, and the search for an enigmatic Fourth Law.

 

Odd Systems is a defense technology company, founded in 2023 and headquartered in Kyiv, Ukraine, which specializes in the development and manufacturing of thermal cameras and FPV drones. It was founded by a group of entrepreneurs, engineers, operators and FPV enthusiasts with former experience at a number of international tech companies, including Petcube, a global leader in pet cameras and software. The company’s products, including thermal cameras Kurbas-256 and Kurbas-640; FPV drones Stus-7, Lupynis-10, Horska-12, and others, are named after prominent figures of “Executed Renaissance” and "The Sixtiers"— Ukrainian intellectuals of the XX century prosecuted and executed by the Soviet regime. The company has offices in the US, EU, and Ukraine and is on a mission to increase the defensive capabilities of the Free World.

 

We are looking for a proactive, people-oriented professional to manage the full employee journey and act as a partner for our employees. Your mission is to balance the needs of the business with the well-being of our people, ensuring that every team member has the support, feedback, and environment they need to thrive. You won’t just follow processes — you’ll build them.

 

Location: [Kyiv/Hybrid]

Tech Stack: Google Workspace, PeopleForce, Jira, Vchasno, Slack.

 

Responsibilities:

1. Full Cycle Employee Management

  • Owning the entire employee lifecycle: from a smooth onboarding experience to impactful development plans and offboarding.
  • Acting as the primary point of contact for employees, providing guidance on growth, internal policies, and company culture.

2. Performance & Talent Development

  • Partnering with team leads to conduct regular performance reviews, identify high-potential talent, and address growth areas.
  • Supporting managers in handling complex cases, conflict resolution, and feedback loops.

3. Retention & Team Climate

  • Monitoring team health through regular 1-on-1s, eNPS surveys, and pulse checks.
  • Identifying risks and implementing retention strategies based on data-driven insights.
  • Managing organizational changes, including team restructures and role definitions.

4. Strategic HR Initiatives

  • Building and launching new HR processes from scratch aligned with company OKRs.
  • Analyzing HR metrics (turnover, engagement) to propose and execute improvements.

     

Who You Are

  • The People Partner: You have 3+ years of experience as an HR Manager or People Partner, preferably in a fast-paced environment.
  • The Strategist: You don’t just feel that the mood is low — you use data, surveys, and hypotheses to prove it and find a solution.
  • Communication Pro: You are comfortable talking to people at all levels and have experience navigating tough conversations.
  • Process Builder: You love creating order out of chaos and have a track record of building people processes from the ground up.
