HR Lead

About the Company

We are currently supporting DCSH, a fast growing technology company operating in the iGaming industry, in the search for an HR Director.

 

The company is developing its own poker room while simultaneously testing its product through white-label solutions. The team consists of 65 employees, with offices located in Valencia (Spain) and Batumi (Georgia).

 

This is a unique opportunity to build the HR function from the ground up. There is no existing HR department and no legacy processes to transform, allowing you to design the entire HR strategy, structure, and operational framework from scratch.

 

We are looking for a strategic yet hands-on HR leader who will act as a true business partner to the founders and build a scalable, high performance organization within an international technology environment.

 

The Role

During the first 6โ€“12 months, the role will be approximately 80% operational and 20% strategic.

You will fully own the HR function, independently designing systems, implementing processes, and taking full accountability for outcomes.

There is no team in place initially, the function will be built entirely hands-on.

 

Key Responsibilities

Organizational Architecture & HR Processes (40%)

  • Conduct a full audit of the current team structure and finalize the organizational design (eliminating duplication, identifying gaps);
  • Develop and formalize job descriptions for all roles;
  • Design and implement KPI and Performance Review systems from scratch;
  • Select, implement, and administer HRIS solutions.
     

HR Operations & Compliance (30%)

  • Structure HR documentation in compliance with EU legislation (Spain, Estonia, Georgia);
  • Build and manage the full Employee Journey: onboarding, offboarding, regular 1-on-1s, leave management;
  • Develop a transparent grading system and Compensation & Benefits framework.


Targeted Senior & Executive Recruitment (20%)

  • Manage low volume but high impact hiring (~1 key role per month);
  • Close critical leadership roles (CFO, Head of CRM, Head of Security);
  • Conduct senior and executive level assessment processes.

 

Business Partnership (10%)

  • Participate in strategic sessions with founders;
  • Assess HR and organizational risks during potential M&A activities.

 

Requirements

  • Proven experience building HR functions and processes from scratch;
  • 7+ years of experience in HR, including 2โ€“3 years in a Head / Lead role;
  • Mandatory experience in iGaming, Fintech, or Gambling industries;
  • Fluent Ukrainian (primary working language in the office), Russian (for part of the team), and English (Upper-Intermediate+ for documentation and written communication);
  • Readiness to work independently without a team during the first year;
  • Experience implementing KPI systems, grading frameworks, and HRIS;
  • Strong understanding of P&L dynamics in iGaming, Unit Economics, and how HR impacts financial performance.
