SMS Gateway Manager

We are looking for an analytical-thinking specialist who will take full management of the OTP SMS communications infrastructure. Your main task is to ensure the smooth delivery of service and marketing messages (OTP, transactions, notifications) maintaining cost and conversion targets. This is a role at the intersection of technical management, vendor management and deep data analytics.


 Responsibilities:

  • Search, test, and integrate new SMS providers and local routes to expand coverage and improve resilience;

  • Daily monitoring of OTP deliverability and conversion. Prompt resolution of technical issues (in next 2 hours after the failure);

  • Control of SMS costs (target is up to $Y per registration) and weekly management of provider balances;

  • Setting up sending parameters, controlling Sender ID, auditing routes and maintaining a list of connected senders.

  • Identifying anomalies and developing measures to prevent SMS fraud together with the product team;

  • Daily and monthly reporting on the volume, errors, cost and effectiveness of OTP SMS.

  • Testing and documenting new local routes;

  • Updating the tariff and route database on a monthly basis;

  • Conducting regular audits of Sender ID for service messages;

  • Monitoring document flow (contracts with new providers).


Requirements:

  • 1 year of experience in Traffic Management, on the side of an SMS aggregator or operator;

  • Understanding the principles of SMS gateways, data transfer protocols, and the specifics of Sender ID in different countries;

  • Ability to work with large data sets in Excel/Google Sheets and BI systems;

  • Ability to monitor small changes in rates and conversion rates across dozens of GEOs on a daily basis, attention to details;

  • Negotiating with international providers and writing technical support requests.


It will be an advantage:

  • Experience in High-load projects or the iGaming/Fintech industry;

  • Understanding the specifics of delivering messages to Tier-2 and Tier-3 countries;

  • English language proficiency is sufficient for correspondence and calls with technical support providers.
