Production Operations Engineer

About the Project

We are opening a Production Operations Engineer position for one of our clients.

This role focuses on monitoring production environments, handling incidents, and ensuring system stability during night shifts.

We are looking for a detail-oriented specialist who can follow clear instructions (run-books) while staying calm and effective under pressure.

🕐 Schedule: Night shift 00:00–08:00 (Poland time)

Responsibilities

• Monitor production systems and services
• Handle alerts and incidents
• Communicate with teams via Slack / Incident management tools
• Follow step-by-step run-books
• Restart pods/services in Kubernetes when required
• Escalate issues according to established processes
• Support service-based applications

Required Skills & Experience

• 3+ years of experience in application monitoring or production support
• Hands-on experience with:
  • Zabbix
  • Grafana
  • Prometheus or Datadog (strong plus)
• Basic knowledge of:
  • Linux
  • Cloud environments
  • Kubernetes (at least at the level of restarting pods/services)
• Ability to follow structured instructions while also thinking critically when blockers arise
• Experience working with service-based applications
• Intermediate English (spoken and written)
• Strong time management and multitasking skills
• Ability to stay calm and effective under pressure
• Strong learning ability

Nice to Have

• Production support experience in public cloud environments (GCP, AWS, Azure)
• 1+ year of Linux administration experience
• Basic knowledge of Terraform or Spinnaker
• Interest in automation, telemetry, and reliability improvement
