Eatery Club is a leading B2B SaaS platform for HoReCa automation. We help restaurants and multi-location chains streamline operations, integrate POS systems and payment providers, ensure fiscal compliance, and deliver modern digital guest experiences — all within a unified platform.

Our product has traction. Customers pay. The market is large and underserved by modern software. We are now entering the next phase of growth and are looking for a CTO who will take our technology, architecture, and engineering organization to a world-class level.

This role reports directly to the CEO and operates as a strategic partner in company development.

The Opportunity

As CTO, you will own the company’s technical vision, engineering organization, and long-term architecture strategy. You will balance product ambition with technical sustainability, scale the team, and build the systems that enable predictable and high-quality delivery.

This is a leadership role with real authority, ownership, and impact.

Key Responsibilities

Engineering Leadership

• Lead and scale a team of 10+ engineers
• Hire, mentor, and develop senior engineers and tech leads
• Build a high-performance engineering culture
• Establish clear ownership, accountability, and delivery standards

Technical Strategy & Roadmap

• Define and own the technical roadmap aligned with business goals
• Conduct a full audit of the current architecture
• Design and execute a long-term technical evolution strategy
• Manage technical debt proactively

Architecture & Infrastructure

• Own backend architecture (monolith and/or microservices evolution)
• Ensure scalability, reliability, performance, and security
• Oversee multi-tenant SaaS architecture
• Lead cloud infrastructure strategy (AWS / GCP / Azure)
• Implement and improve CI/CD and DevOps practices

Integrations & Compliance

• Oversee integrations with POS systems, payment providers, ERP, and fiscal solutions
• Ensure compliance with GDPR, PCI DSS, and regional fiscal regulations
• Maintain high security and audit readiness standards

AI & Engineering Efficiency

• Introduce AI tools into engineering workflows (code generation, review, testing, documentation)
• Identify automation opportunities across development processes
• Increase engineering leverage through modern tooling

Cross-Functional Leadership

• Align engineering with product and business strategy
• Communicate technical decisions clearly to non-technical stakeholders
• Contribute to overall company strategy and growth initiatives

What We’re Looking For

Technical Expertise

• 5+ years of hands-on commercial software development
• Strong backend architecture experience in PHP, JavaScript/TypeScript, or Java
• Proven experience designing systems for scale and real production load
• Deep understanding of microservices and monolithic architectures
• Strong experience building REST APIs
• Hands-on cloud experience (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
• Strong DevOps and CI/CD implementation experience

SaaS & Product Experience

• Experience working in SaaS environments
• Experience building or evolving multi-tenant platforms
• Understanding of subscription billing models
• Strong product mindset and ability to contribute to product strategy

Leadership Experience

• Experience managing engineering teams of 10+ people
• Experience scaling engineering organizations
• Proven hiring and talent development track record
• Experience implementing engineering standards and best practices

Nice to Have

• Experience in HoReCa, FinTech, or logistics
• Experience integrating with POS systems (Poster, IIKO, etc.)
• Understanding of compliance frameworks (GDPR, PCI DSS, CCPA/CPRA)
• Practical experience with AI tools (Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT Codex)

What This Role Is Not

• Not a maintenance-focused VP of Engineering role
• Not a purely hands-on IC position
• Not a “delivery-only” function without strategic input

This is a true CTO position with ownership over technology direction and engineering impact.
