Senior Business Analyst (Trading Domain, AI-Assisted Discovery)

About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Business Analyst with strong trading domain expertise to lead the Discovery Phase of a product initiative.

This role requires hands-on experience with AI-assisted documentation frameworks (Spec-kit / BMAD) and deep understanding of trading products, strategies, and asset classes.

You will drive structured discovery, translate complex trading concepts into clear product requirements, and help shape a scalable, well-defined MVP.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead structured workshops with stakeholders and development teams
• Maintain regular communication to gather, clarify, and validate business and technical requirements
• Analyze existing proof of concepts and available documentation
• Deliver structured analysis of product positioning, target users, and competitive landscape
• Translate business needs into:
  • Product structures
  • User stories
  • Use cases
  • Epics and MVP scope
  • Roadmap aligned with business goals
• Create comprehensive Software Requirements Specifications (SRS)
• Use AI-assisted documentation flows (Spec-kit / BMAD frameworks) to structure and optimize requirement creation
• Model business processes using BPMN and other standard notations
• Apply UML and architectural understanding to ensure technical clarity
• Collaborate with UX designers or independently create interactive prototypes (preferably in Axure RP) to visualize and refine user journeys

Must-Have Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst (preferably in software development environments)
• Proven experience using AI-assisted documentation frameworks (Spec-kit / BMAD)
• Strong background in the trading domain (assets, strategies, trading workflows)
• Deep understanding of business analysis methodologies and Agile delivery principles
• Strong experience writing:
  • User stories
  • Use cases
  • Functional specifications
  • Full SRS documentation
• Solid understanding of software architecture and web applications
• Experience with UML modeling
• Experience with BPMN and structured business process modeling
• Ability to interpret and structure complex information into clear, actionable requirements
• Experience leading discovery workshops
• Excellent communication skills

Nice to Have

• Experience working on fintech or trading platforms
• Experience conducting market and competitive analysis
• Strong prototyping skills in Axure RP
• Experience defining MVP scope for new product launches
