Location: Stockholm, Sweden (office/remote). Permanent location in the EU or Ukraine is required (we can only consider candidates legally based in the EU or Ukraine).

We’re looking for a Backend Developer (Laravel) with around 3 years of experience who enjoys solving real production problems, supporting users and internal teams, and improving system stability.

This role sits close to production: you’ll handle incoming technical issues, investigate bugs and incidents, make safe fixes, and help us prevent repeat problems through better monitoring, automation, and documentation.

What you’ll do

  • Provide technical support for our product: investigate and resolve production issues, bugs, and user-reported problems.
  • Triage incoming requests: clarify symptoms, reproduce issues, identify root cause, and communicate progress/status clearly.
  • Fix backend issues in Laravel: implement safe, well-tested changes and deploy via our standard release flow.
  • Work with databases (primarily SQL): analyze data issues, write/debug queries, and help prevent data integrity problems.
  • Use logs, metrics, and tracing to debug effectively; improve observability (better logs, alerts, dashboards).
  • Collaborate with Product, QA, and DevOps to ensure smooth delivery and reliable operations.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement by:
    • writing/supporting runbooks and internal documentation
    • automating repetitive support tasks
    • suggesting and implementing small refactors to reduce incidents
  • Use AI tools to speed up debugging, writing documentation, creating test cases, and summarizing incidents—while keeping quality and security intact.

What we’re looking for

  • Around 3+ years of software development experience with Laravel, Yii.
  • Solid fundamentals: OOP, clean code practices, and version control with Git.
  • Basic experience with AWS and cloud environments (e.g., S3/ECS/RDS — not necessarily deep expertise).
  • Working knowledge of PostgreSQL and MongoDB: writing queries, debugging data issues, understanding indexes at a basic level.
  • Comfortable with Docker-based local development and working with CI/CD pipelines (at least as a user).
  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a service mindset toward internal/external users.
  • English: Upper-Intermediate+ for collaboration and documentation.
  • Language bonus:
    • Swedish is a plus.
    • Ukrainian/Russian is a plus for smoother communication with part of the team.
  • AI usage experience: practical experience using AI tools to support development/support workflows (we’ll support and compensate relevant subscriptions).

 

Interview process (3 steps)

  1. Screening interview with the Recruiter.
  2. Technical interview with the Tech Lead + practical debugging/support task.
  3. Final approval interview with the CTO.
