Senior Data Engineer

Your responsibilities will include:

• Build and maintain data pipelines within Microsoft Fabric (Lakehouse/Warehouse)
• Implement Bronze and Silver layers following Medallion architecture
• Design and maintain integrations between Snowflake and Fabric
• Develop incremental load and CDC patterns
• Ensure data quality validation and exception handling
• Optimize performance and cost efficiency of data workloads
• Support Dev/Test/Prod environment setup and CI/CD processes
• Collaborate with Data Architect and Analytics Engineer on data model implementation
• Monitor pipeline reliability and resolve production issues

What we expect from you:

• 4–7+ years in data engineering
• Experience building lakehouse or cloud-based data platforms
• Experience in financial services or regulated environments is a plus
• Hands-on, production-level experience preferred (not only proof-of-concept work)
• Data Engineering:
  • Strong SQL (mandatory)
  • Spark / PySpark for data transformations
  • Experience with Delta Lake or similar lakehouse technologies
  • Data pipeline orchestration (Fabric pipelines or similar tools)
  • Incremental load design and data transformation best practices
  • Schema evolution handling
• Microsoft Fabric:
  • Fabric Lakehouse workloads
  • OneLake fundamentals
  • Performance tuning in Fabric
  • Understanding of capacity-based cost model
• Snowflake:
  • Working knowledge of Snowflake
  • Data ingestion from external sources
  • CDC and data sharing concepts
• Data Quality & Governance:
  • Data validation frameworks
  • Logging and monitoring practices
  • Understanding of lineage and metadata concepts
  • Basic understanding of RBAC and row-level security
• DevOps & Engineering Standards:
  • Git version control
  • CI/CD for data workloads
  • Environment separation (Dev/Test/Prod)
  • Documentation standards
