Head of Design

At Red Rocket Software, we are looking for an experienced and strategic Head of Design who will take full ownership of our design direction, team development, and process optimization.

You will play a key leadership role in shaping UX/UI standards, managing a growing design team, ensuring project profitability, and maintaining high-quality delivery across all client projects.

What you will do:

• Lead and manage the UX/UI and Graphic Design teams
• Directly collaborate with UX/UI Lead and Graphic Design Lead, aligning priorities, workload, and quality standards
• Mentor and support design leads in people management, feedback culture, and performance evaluation
• Approve and коррект development Roadmaps prepared with leads
• Ensure consistent design standards across UX/UI and Graphic directions
• Take ownership of hiring, interviewing, and onboarding designers
• Monitor team workload, prevent burnout, and maintain a healthy team environment
• Participate in project estimation and resource allocation based on budget and rate structure
• Oversee daily design progress across multiple projects
• Join client calls, lead final design presentations, and handle complex communication
• Resolve conflict situations with clients and internally when needed
• Optimize collaboration between Design, Development, PM, BA, and QA
• Improve and enforce design systems and quality standards
• Structure and maintain documentation (Google Drive, internal knowledge base, Figma standards)
• Work confidently in high-uncertainty environments and structure information in real time

What we expect:

• 3+ years of experience in UX/UI Design
• 1+ years of experience leading a design team
• Strong system thinking and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Deep understanding of UX principles, product logic, and scalable design systems
• Ability to align multiple design directions under one unified strategy
• Experience managing client communication and resolving complex situations
• Proven track record of building and improving internal processes
• Strong organizational and documentation skills
• Advanced Figma expertise
• English level B2+
