Senior Email Marketing Manager

We are building a high-volume, performance-driven newsletter portfolio and looking for a Senior Email Marketing Manager to take full ownership of newsletter growth, engagement, and monetization.

 

This is a hands-on, strategic role for someone who treats newsletters as a revenue channel, not just publishing content.

 

Youโ€™ll collaborate with writers, AI tools, designers, and monetization partners to ensure every send is optimized for opens, clicks, and revenue, while maintaining editorial excellence.

 

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Newsletter Performance: Own end-to-end newsletter strategy, publishing, and optimization for 15โ€“20 newsletters.
  • Content Optimization: Improve subject lines, preheaders, layouts, CTAs, and content flow.
  • Quality Assurance: Review and approve all outgoing content to ensure zero errors.
  • Monetization: Integrate ads natively, test placements, formats, and messaging to maximize revenue without compromising reader trust.
  • Analysis & Optimization: Track performance metrics (open rates, CTR, conversions, revenue per send) and adjust strategy accordingly.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with writers, designers, AI tools, and growth teams.
  • Process & Scaling: Build repeatable workflows, guidelines, and quality standards to ensure scalability.

 

 

Requirements:

 

  • Strong experience in email marketing, preferably managing multiple campaigns at scale.
  • Deep understanding of email performance metrics: open rate, CTR, conversions, revenue per send.
  • Hands-on experience with AI tools and content optimization.
  • Excellent editorial and design instincts for formatting, readability, and hierarchy.
  • Strong organization skills โ€” able to manage 15โ€“20+ newsletters simultaneously.
  • High level of attention to detail and QA mindset.
  • English: C1 level or higher.

 

 

Nice to Have:

 

  • Experience with Beehiiv, Substack, Ghost or similar platforms.
  • Background in newsletter monetization, sponsorships, or affiliate content.
  • Experience in content-led growth or scaling multiple digital brands.
