Business Analyst / Scrum Master (FinTech, Mobile Product)

We are looking for an experienced Business Analyst & Scrum Master to join a client-facing FinTech product team focused on building secure and scalable mobile solutions.

In this role, you will act as a bridge between business stakeholders and engineering teams, transforming complex financial and regulatory requirements into clear, development-ready specifications while facilitating Agile processes and ensuring smooth delivery.

You will lead Scrum ceremonies, manage backlog prioritization alongside Product Managers, and ensure alignment across mobile, backend, and QA teams. A strong understanding of digital payments, banking systems, compliance, security, and mobile app development is essential.

Responsibilities:
Business Analysis & Requirements Management

• Gather, analyze, and document complex business, technical, and regulatory requirements for fintech and mobile products.
• Conduct stakeholder interviews and workshops to clarify business needs and constraints.
• Translate business requirements into clear, structured user stories with detailed acceptance criteria.
• Prepare functional specifications, process flows, and supporting documentation.
• Ensure requirements completeness, traceability, and alignment with compliance standards.
• Validate requirements with stakeholders before development start.
• Manage change requests and assess impact on scope, timeline, and dependencies.
• Maintain high-quality documentation aligned with audit and regulatory expectations.

FinTech & Regulatory Alignment

• Ensure requirements reflect financial domain specifics: digital payments, banking systems, compliance, data privacy, and security standards.
• Incorporate regulatory and compliance considerations (e.g., KYC, AML, audit logs, data protection) into backlog and specifications.
• Collaborate with security and compliance stakeholders to ensure solution readiness.
• Identify potential regulatory risks early and communicate them proactively.

Backlog & Roadmap Management

• Own backlog structure, clarity, and readiness.
• Prioritize backlog items in collaboration with Product Managers based on business value, risk, and dependencies.
• Ensure stories meet Definition of Ready before sprint planning.
• Support roadmap planning with structured breakdown and delivery sequencing.
• Maintain transparency of dependencies across teams.

Mobile Product Lifecycle Support

• Ensure requirements account for mobile-specific considerations (platform differences, UX flows, performance constraints, security, app store policies).
• Support mobile release planning and readiness validation.
• Collaborate with UX/UI teams to refine user journeys and flows.

Agile / Scrum Facilitation

• Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies: Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives.
• Ensure sprint goals are clearly defined and aligned with product priorities.
• Monitor sprint progress and ensure impediments are identified and resolved.
• Coach team members on Agile best practices and promote continuous improvement.
• Protect the team from scope creep and unmanaged changes during sprints.

Cross-Functional Coordination

• Act as a bridge between business stakeholders, development teams, QA, UX/UI designers, and QAs.
• Ensure shared understanding of requirements and scope.
• Align expectations between product vision and technical implementation.

Quality & Delivery Focus

• Ensure acceptance criteria are testable and measurable.
• Support QA in validating functionality against business requirements.
• Participate in demo preparation and stakeholder validation sessions.
• Promote secure, scalable, and customer-centric solution design.
• Continuously refine processes to improve delivery predictability and quality.
  
  Requirements:
• 3+ years of Experience as a Business Analyst and Scrum Master with a strong background in FinTech and mobile application development
• Proven ability to gather, analyze, and document complex business, technical, and regulatory requirements
• Skilled in translating requirements into clear user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional specifications
• Extensive experience leading Agile/Scrum ceremonies: sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives
• Strong backlog management, prioritization, and roadmap planning capabilities in collaboration with Product Managers
• Hands-on experience with financial domains, including digital payments, banking systems, compliance, security, and data privacy
• Solid understanding of mobile app development lifecycles for iOS and Android platforms
• Focused on delivering secure, scalable, and customer-centric solutions
• Strong communication, facilitation, and coaching skills to drive Agile best practices and continuous improvement
