ORACLE PL/SQL Engineer
We're an IT services consulting firm hiring an experienced Oracle PL/SQL consultant for a key enterprise banking client. This is a hands-on delivery role where you'll shape and implement a critical change in the bank's internal loans landscape - with real regulatory impact.
PROJECT DESCRIPTION
You will work on the implementation of a Loans Modification and Effective Interest Rate (EIR) solution according to IFRS 9.
What is IFRS 9?
IFRS 9 is an international accounting standard for how financial instruments (including loans) must be classified, measured, and reported, including how expected credit losses are reflected. For a bank, aligning loan-related processes and calculations with IFRS 9 is essential for regulatory compliance and accurate reporting.
Your core delivery focus:
- Implement "Loans Modification and EIR" solution aligned to IFRS 9, improving regulatory compliance and simplifying the bank's operations and reporting landscape.
- Take on other tasks related to the Dallas application that require architecture, analysis, development, testing, and bug fixing.
- Perform IT analysis of the existing internal loan management system.
- Do new requirements analysis, development, testing, and documentation.
- Cooperate closely with stakeholders: business analysts and other IT specialists.
DO YOU HAVE (MUST-HAVE SKILLS)... - Oracle PL/SQL engineering - 7-10 years (senior consultant level; able to solve abstract tasks, a lot of sophiticated Oracle PL/SQL development hands on deliveries expected, lead others, mentor)
- Strong experience delivering analysis โ development โ testing โ bug fixing in enterprise systems
- Agile / Scrum experience - 5+ years (comfortable working in iterative delivery with stakeholders)
- Clear, structured communication (you'll work side-by-side with business analysts and IT specialists)
BONUS SKILLS... - These are not required, but they will seriously strengthen your profile:
- Accountancy knowledge (especially where reporting/regulatory alignment matters)
- Loan contract management domain know-how (loan lifecycle, modifications, contract changes)
