Senior C# / .NET engineer
Our Client was established with the mission to fundamentally transform the execution of capital projects and operations. Designed by industry experts for industry experts, our Client’s platform empowers users to digitally search, visualize, navigate, and collaborate on assets. Drawing on 30 years of software expertise and 180 years of industrial legacy as part of the renowned Scandinavian business group, Client plays an active role in advancing the global energy transition. The company operates from Norway, the UK, and the U.S.
What you tell your friends you do: “I develop the identity and access management (IAM) that keeps my company secure and seamless, shaping the product experience as much as the code.”
Key Responsibilities:
- Build and evolve our backend services in C#/.NET, owning key parts of our IAM-domain
- Design and maintain integrations between our portal, backend services, and assorted third-party systems.
- Work across a broad surface area: backend, React frontend, and the DevOps infrastructure that keeps everything running.
- Shape features with the product team - scoping, estimating, and challenging the “why” behind what we build.
- Mentor teammates, contribute to architectural discussions, and help facilitate agile ceremonies.
- Support a team that owns everything end-to-end, from infra to UI.
How will the work look like
- Working as part of a self-driven team of seven that owns an entire “app within the app” - full flow, full responsibility.
- Using and improving our DevOps setup (Terraform, CI/CD, cloud platforms), building on the foundations already established.
- Mostly focusing on backend, but with the opportunity to jump into frontend and infrastructure when it makes sense.
- Collaborating closely with other engineering teams and other disciplines to balance technical depth with user and business needs.
- Bringing your experience and the right attitude to help the team scale.
- We are using Frontegg as IDP (not important to have experience), SCIM, SSO, OAUTH 2.0
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience with C# or .Net, including building and maintaining production-grade systems.
- Engineer with a strong sense of ownership, capable of operating effectively across a broad and evolving technical landscape.
- Solid understanding of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure-as-code approaches (preferably Terraform).
- Practical experience working within Identity & Access Management (IAM) or related identity/security domains.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate cross-functionally, coordinate work across teams, and actively contribute to architectural design and technical decision-making.
- Product-oriented mindset with the ability to consider business goals, user needs, and system impact, not solely implementation details.
Nice to have:
- Experience with Azure cloud
- Experience with React
- Ability to travel abroad once a year for an on-site team building (Oslo, Norway)
