Senior BI Developer/Architect

About the Role

We have an immediate need for a Part-Time Remote Senior BI Developer/Architect to support franchise clients on project-based work. The role will begin at approximately 10 hours per week and is expected to grow closer to 20 hours per week over time.

Candidates must be available to overlap with core hours between 8:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. EST US, or until approximately 1:00 p.m EST US.

You will collaborate directly with the project manager to run reports, create dashboards, analyze data points, and deliver actionable insights to clients.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with team members and actively participate in architectural decisions for the business intelligence platform.
• Identify tools to solve business problems and create proof-of-concepts to support organizational decision-making.
• Design, build, enhance, and maintain both historical and real-time interactive dashboards and reports for analysts, applications, and external business partners.
• Use SQL and other tools efficiently to create scalable, reliable, and high-performance reports and dashboards.
• Automate ad-hoc reports, optimize user queries, and facilitate data research and understanding.
• Review datasets to ensure data quality and accuracy.
• Implement data security measures to protect PII and other sensitive information in reports.
• Build data applications using Power Apps or similar tools.
• Work closely with the project manager and franchise clients to analyze data and communicate insights clearly.

• Provide creative, practical, and cost-effective solutions to client challenges.

   

Required Skills & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 4-5 years of experience in a Business Intelligence role.
• Strong proficiency in SQL, including joins, inserts, updates, deletes, conditional logic, subqueries, temp tables, and complex data transformations.
• Experience building graphs and charts that communicate useful insights.
• Knowledge of relational database management and data warehousing concepts.
• Experience reviewing datasets for data quality.
• Experience with Power BI, SSRS, or another enterprise-level reporting platform.

• Strong communication skills and confidence working directly with clients.
