Middle Automation QA Engineer

Outstaff Hiring: Remote – Contract

About the Role

We are looking for a detail-oriented QA Engineer to join an international product team on a long-term contract.

In this role, you’ll work closely with developers, Product Owners, Scrum Masters, and designers to ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of the product. You’ll be responsible for end-to-end testing, maintaining test cases, and contributing to both manual and automated testing efforts.

This role is ideal for someone who is analytical, proactive, and passionate about delivering high-quality software.

What You’ll Do

• Test new features and provide feedback to product and engineering teams
• Write and maintain test cases for manual and automated testing
• Execute tests, analyze results, and report bugs and improvement suggestions
• Maintain and improve test automation scripts
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and quality expectations
• Ensure high quality across all deliverables from the development team

• Support continuous improvement of QA processes and practices

   

Required Skills & Experience

• 3–5+ years of experience in software quality assurance or testing
• Hands-on experience testing web applications and APIs
• Experience with at least one test automation framework:
  WebdriverIO, Cypress, Playwright, Protractor, or similar (JavaScript or Python)
• Experience with API testing tools such as Postman and/or SoapUI
• Knowledge of at least one programming language (preferably JavaScript)
• Familiarity with Git, CLI, SQL, and databases
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and release processes
• Good understanding of Scrum / Agile methodologies
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Good communication skills and ability to work with tight deadlines
• Advanced English (spoken and written)

• Relevant HBO/academic-level education or equivalent professional experience

   

Nice to Have

• Experience with VDI infrastructure, such as:
  – Citrix Netscaler / XenDesktop
  – VMware Horizon
  – RDS
  – vSphere 6.5 or 7
