HR Generalist / Senior HR Generalist (with HR Lead growth path)
We are a British—Ukrainian DefenseTech company building air defense systems deployed directly on the front line. We are looking for an HR Generalist or Senior HR Generalist with leadership potential — someone ready to build the HR function from scratch and become the key People partner in a company of up to 50 employees.

Role positioning depends on your experience:
- 2–3 years of experience + strong ambition → HR Generalist with a clear growth path to HR Lead
- 3+ years of experience + strategic mindset → Senior HR Generalist with faster transition into a leadership role
Location: primarily office-based work in central Kyiv, with the possibility of partial hybrid format in the future.
What you will be responsible forRecruitment & Growth Strategy
- Adapt and implement recruitment strategy aligned with the company’s growth plans (up to ~50 employees)
- Plan hiring needs: timelines, approaches, and required resources
- Manage the full recruitment cycle for various roles (from junior to senior)
- Build and develop candidate sourcing channels
- Find alternative hiring sources: establish cooperation with профиль universities and build partnerships with veteran hubs
Employee Experience (Onboarding, Engagement, Offboarding)
- Design and implement onboarding and offboarding processes
- Organize welcome activities in cooperation with the Office Manager
- Conduct exit interviews and analyze attrition reasons (at later stages)
- Manage and track vacations, sick leaves, and terminations
- Maintain employment records, personnel files, and labor documentation for full-time employees
Culture & Internal Communications
- Maintain a high level of team motivation and engagement
- Organize congratulations for birthdays, anniversaries, and important life events
- Prepare internal communications, team updates, and corporate messages
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in HR/recruitment (for HR Generalist) or 3+ years (for Senior HR Generalist)
- Proven experience hiring tech specialists in IT
- Experience in startups or fast-growing companies is a strong advantage
- Hands-on experience building HR systems from scratch and working across multiple HR domains (recruitment, HR processes, communication)
- Strong communication skills and ability to work with diverse stakeholders
- High level of proactivity and independence
- English — B2+ (Upper-Intermediate or higher)
- Ukrainian — fluent (professional working proficiency)
