Project Manager (Hardware/IoT)
Job Description
We are looking for an experienced and motivated Project Manager with a strong technical background to lead complex embedded and IoT engineering initiatives.
The successful candidate will oversee full project execution, collaborate with global stakeholders, and guide multidisciplinary engineering teams working on firmware, middleware, embedded platforms, and cloud-connected IoT systems.
This role requires a mix of strong project leadership skills, technical understanding of embedded/IoT environments, and the ability to operate within fast-paced, cross-cultural, and occasionally regulated domains.
Qualifications
Professional Experience
- 5+ years of project management experience, ideally in IoT, embedded systems, telecommunications, consumer electronics, automotive, or other high-tech domains.
- Experience working with international, distributed teams and clients is required.
- Demonstrated success delivering complex technical projects on time and within budget.
Education
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Electronics, Telecommunications, or a related technical field (mandatory).
Language Skills
- Fluency in English (spoken and written) is required.
- Additional languages are a plus.

Highly Appreciated
- Hands-on familiarity with embedded systems, firmware development, or middleware architectures.
- Understanding of wireless protocols (BLE, Zigbee, Matter, Wi-Fi), RTOS, or MCU-based systems.
- Experience in regulated industries (Automotive, Healthcare/MedTech, Industrial IoT).
- Post-graduate degree in Business Administration or similar.
- Knowledge of advanced project management tools and engineering lifecycle systems (JIRA, Confluence, Azure DevOps, etc.).
Job Responsibilities
Project Management & Execution
- Manage the full lifecycle of embedded/IoT projects — from concept to delivery.
- Ensure successful delivery of firmware, middleware, embedded platform, or device-cloud integration solutions.
- Translate product roadmaps and architectural decisions into actionable execution plans.
- Identify and resolve technical and operational risks early.
- Expected to proactively report risks and potential escalations promptly, allowing the Program Director to intervene at the second level.
- Ability to manage client expectations and assertiveness in dealing with unrealistic demands.
Team Leadership & Development
- Lead cross-functional engineering teams (firmware, hardware, cloud, QA, DevOps).
- Active management of team retention and satisfaction (e.g., through 1-on-1s, IDPs) and safeguarding Work-Life Balance, especially in high-demand periods.
- Take over existing embedded/IoT projects and ensure smooth transitions.
Promote best practices, knowledge sharing, and delivery excellence across teams.
Stakeholder, Client & Business Management
- Maintain strong communication with internal and external stakeholders, adapting to cultural differences.
- Participate in technical and business discussions with global engineering leads and product owners.
- Travel internationally when required for client engagements and project milestones.
- Support pre-sales by providing technical and project delivery expertise for new embedded/IoT opportunities.
