Senior Email Marketing Manager

We’re building and scaling a high-volume, performance-driven newsletter portfolio and are looking for a Senior Email Marketing Manager to fully own newsletter growth, engagement, and monetization.

This role is for someone who understands newsletters as a revenue channel, not just a publishing task.

You’ll work closely with authors, AI writers, designers, and monetization partners to ensure every send is optimized for opens, clicks, and revenue, while maintaining strong editorial quality.

Key Responsibilities

Email & Newsletter Performance Ownership

  • Own end-to-end newsletter strategy, publishing, and optimization
  • Optimize subject lines, preheaders, layouts, CTAs, and content flow
  • Maintain consistent, high-quality publishing schedules across all newsletters
  • Review, QA, and approve all outgoing content before sending

 Monetization & Advertising Optimization

  • Integrate ads natively within newsletters to maximize CTR and revenue
  • Test ad placements, formats, and messaging without harming reader trust
  • Analyze performance and continuously improve monetization strategy

Scaling & Team Leadership

  • Collaborate closely with writers, AI tools, designers, and growth teams
  • Build repeatable processes, guidelines, and quality standards
  • Provide weekly performance insights and improvement recommendations
     

Requirements

  • Strong experience in email marketing
  • Deep understanding of email performance metrics: open rate, CTR, conversions, revenue per send
  • Hands-on experience managing multiple email campaings at scale
  • Comfortable using AI tools
  • Strong editorial and layout instincts (formatting, hierarchy, readability)
  • Excellent organization — able to manage 15–20+ newsletters simultaneously
  • Strong QA mindset: zero tolerance for broken links, typos, or formatting errors
  • High level of English: C1
     

Nice to Have

  • Experience with platforms like Beehiiv, Substack, Ghost
  • Experience working with ad monetization, sponsorships, or affiliate content
  • Background in content-led growth or digital publishing
  • Experience scaling multiple content brands or media products
