Lead Product Analyst
Product Analytics are at the forefront of understanding how our audiences interact with their brand, working to create richer, more personalised experiences that the audiences love.
As a Lead Product Analyst you will lead a diverse team of product analysts to produce insights that will drive digital product strategy, working closely with colleagues and stakeholders across Product, Engineering, Data Science and more.
Main responsibilities
Reporting to the Head of Product Analytics, you will:
- Partner closely with Product Managers, Product Analytics and Product Teams to understand metrics requirements, translate them into actionable analytics needs, and develop dashboards and self-serve tools that empower teams to make data-informed decisions.
- Grow and lead a diverse team of analysts to deliver high-quality, actionable insights, fostering an inclusive and collaborative culture where all individuals can contribute fully.
- Champion data-driven decision making across the Product Group, advocating for experimentation, measurement, and insight-led product development.
- Lead deep-dive analyses that inform product strategy and roadmap decisions, identifying opportunities to optimise audience experience, engagement, and impact.
- Drive cross-functional collaboration and evangelise the value of data across teams, shaping and improving data analysis capabilities and self-service functionality across the organisation.
- Ensure data quality, consistency, and governance by aligning metric definitions, maintaining KPI glossaries, and validating tracking accuracy across tools such as Piano and browser network analyses.
- Communicate complex analytical findings through clear, visual storytelling, translating technical insights into narratives that inform and influence non-technical stakeholders.
- Maintain strong documentation practices to support continuity, transparency, and the future development of front-end (FE) analytics capabilities.
- Operate within agile delivery frameworks e.g. 2 week delivery with continuous refinement, and iterative development of analytics solutions.
Essential
- Experience leading and managing a team of data analysts, developing individuals and teams to achieve their full potential and driving value through data and insight (2+ years)
- 4 years of experience in an analytical role, preferably in digital products
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment in order to deliver insights that can influence the direction of the business
- Great communication skills and the ability to translate technical information for non-technical audiences at all levels of the organisation
- Ability to think strategically and a passion for producing high-quality, accurate analytics deliverables
- Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders across multiple disciplines, managing expectations of senior colleagues and navigating conflicting priorities and pressures
- High levels of logical thinking and problem solving skills
- A keen advocate for the role of data in driving business performance
Will be a plus:
- Familiarity with agile or other rapid application development methods
- Understanding of data pipelines and/or data modelling
- Experience with Data Science & Machine learning
- Knowledge of R or Python
- Experience working in a digital product focused analytical role in a customer-centric organisation
