PBN Manager for Blexr to $2500
Blexr is a lead generation business in iGaming, building marketing products and web properties across multiple markets. We are remote-first and we care about shipping work we are proud of, with a culture built around being results-driven and collaborative.
Our Vision and Mission
Our vision is to be the champion of a better game.
Our mission is to push boundaries, challenge the norm, and create experiences/products that help users make better decisions online.
The RoleWhat you’ll be doing
You will own the day-to-day operations of our acquired-domain network (PBN / private network of web properties). This is an execution-heavy ops role with clear accountability: you will source and evaluate domains, buy and onboard them, restore and maintain sites, keep the network stable, and run the inventory and cost controls that let us scale safely.
You will work closely with SEO Ops / Publishing, who define what content and which commercial placements or updates are needed. You own implementing those updates across the network reliably, because you already control the sites, access, and inventory.
Role boundaries
Owns (Network Ops / PBN)
- Domain research, evaluation, and acquisition operations (including auctions, drops, and brokers where applicable)
- Inventory, renewals, ownership hygiene, and access control
- Hosting, DNS, and Cloudflare setup and standards
- Restores, migrations, and ongoing site upkeep (WordPress and/or static)
- Monitoring, incident response, and runbooks
- Cost tracking, reporting, and vendor management
- Operational execution of commercial link updates across the network (placements defined by SEO Ops)
Does not own
- Content planning, briefs, editing/QC, and the content publishing pipeline
- End-to-end link outreach (unless coordinating contractors; outreach is not a core responsibility)
Your key responsibilities1. Domain research, acquisition, and evaluation (quality first)
Build and maintain a repeatable domain evaluation process (scoring and notes) using real checks such as:
- Historical relevance and topical continuity (what the domain used to be and how it was used)
- Backlink profile risk review, including obvious spam patterns, unnatural anchors, link velocity anomalies, sitewide links, language or geo mismatch, and network footprints
- Indexation signals and obvious penalties (basic checks; no guarantees claimed)
You will handle auction, drop, and broker purchase operations, including bidding discipline, max price logic, and fast checkout. For every domain, you will prepare handover-ready documentation explaining why it was acquired, known risks, and next steps.
Deliverable expectation: every acquired domain has a written evaluation trail and a clear pass/fail reason, enabling later audit of decisions.
2. Inventory management and renewals (no chaos, no surprises)
You own a single source of truth for the network inventory, covering:
- Domain list, registrar, renewal dates, costs, notes, and status (live, restoring, hold, retired)
- Hosting account mapping, Cloudflare account mapping, and DNS standards
- Admin access mapping (who has access to what)
- Automated alerts for renewals, SSL expiry, downtime, and DNS drift
Deliverable expectation: weekly inventory updates and a renewal calendar that prevents accidental drops.
3. Restore, setup, and maintain sites on acquired domains
You will operationally onboard domains from “bought” to “stable and live” by:
- Restoring sites (from archive or via fresh builds) and ensuring a clean technical baseline
- Setting up hosting, SSL, DNS, and Cloudflare (or equivalent) using consistent standards
- Implementing templates and basic technical SEO hygiene (canonical rules, redirects, sitemap and robots handling, performance basics) as defined by the team
- Handling migrations when needed (domain changes, platform changes, hosting moves)
- Keeping sites updated and secure, including patching, plugin and theme hygiene for WordPress, backups, and access hygiene
Deliverable expectation: you can take a domain from purchase to “stable, monitored, and documented” without reinventing the process each time.
4. Network stability and monitoring (ops discipline)
You will put monitoring in place and run it like an operator, including:
- Uptime and response monitoring, SSL monitoring, and DNS monitoring
- Basic logging and incident notes (what happened, when, how it was fixed, and how to prevent recurrence)
- Backup routines and periodic restore testing to ensure backups are reliable
- Footprint and risk hygiene, applying consistent standards that avoid noisy patterns without harming maintainability
Deliverable expectation: when something breaks, the issue is detected quickly, fixed fast, and documented for learning.
5. Cost tracking, reporting, and vendor control
You are expected to treat cost control as part of the role, not an afterthought:
- Track costs per domain and per live site, including domains, hosting, tooling, and contractors
- Produce monthly reporting covering spend, upcoming renewals, cost drivers, and savings opportunities
- Manage vendors such as registrars, hosting providers, restoration contractors, and development support
Deliverable expectation: leadership has clear visibility into network costs, upcoming commitments, and areas of inefficiency.
6. Operational execution of commercial updates across the network
You will implement commercial link updates across the network based on clear specifications from SEO Ops:
- Place or replace links in the correct locations and templates
- Validate changes through spot checks, avoiding broken layouts or accidental sitewide issues
- Maintain a change log detailing what changed, where, and when
Deliverable expectation: SEO Ops defines what and where; you execute reliably and accurately at scale.
We’re looking for…Core experience (must-have)
- Hands-on experience running a network of acquired domains or sites (PBNs, expired domains, or similar multi-site operations)
- Strong domain evaluation instincts (history, links, risk) and the discipline to document decisions
- Comfort with DNS, hosting, SSL, and Cloudflare (or equivalent edge/CDN/WAF tooling)
- Ability to restore and maintain WordPress sites, and ideally static/HTML setups
- An operational mindset focused on inventories, checklists, standards, monitoring, and incident handling
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage hundreds of moving parts without losing track
- English sufficient for written updates, tickets, and clear documentation
Nice to have
- Experience with auctions, drops, and brokers at scale, including process, speed, and bidding discipline
- Basic scripting or automation skills to reduce repetitive operational work
- Experience in iGaming or affiliate environments with fast pace and frequent updates
- Experience coordinating contractors for restoration, development, or content upload support
What success looks like (examples, to align in week 1)
These are example outcomes to align on during onboarding, not claims about your current setup:
- First 30 days: network inventory is complete, the renewal calendar is clean, monitoring basics are in place, and onboarding and runbooks are documented
- First 60 days: the domain acquisition and restore pipeline is predictable, with clear QA gates and minimal rework
- First 90 days: commercial updates are executed with low error rates and fast turnaround, and monthly cost reporting is stable enough for budgeting
Compensation
$2,000 to $2,500 depending on technical depth (Cloudflare and hosting, auctions, scaling, and monitoring).
