About the role:
We are looking for a proactive Data Analyst to join a dynamic data squad. In this role, you will be responsible for analysing data from a business data platform in Microsoft Fabric and providing insights to the team on business metrics, data quality and availability. As part of this work, you will also participate in data discovery (including meeting business users) to establish an up to date governance process (data dictionary or catalog, data ownership model, etc.) as well as in providing recommendations for improving current data pipelines to better achieve business goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead structured discovery engagements to understand business objectives, marketing use cases (e.g. SEO, paid media), and data challenges.
- Review and explore data within Microsoft Fabric and other relevant data sources to assess availability, quality, and readiness for marketing use cases.
- Analyse data sourcing, integrations, and end-to-end data flows across systems to identify gaps and dependencies and map data lineage.
- Translate discovery findings into clear, actionable recommendations for engineering and delivery teams, including data models, pipelines, and activation layers.
- Collaborate closely with business analysts to ensure alignment between business requirements and technical insights.

Required:
- 1–3 years of experience as a data analyst.
- Strong proficiency in SQL.
- Experience with modern cloud data stacks (data warehouses, cloud storage).
- Ability to produce reports from data (e.g. via jupyter notebooks, SQL queries or Excel) and present them to business users.
- Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with onshore teams.
- Experience with Power BI or similar BI tools.
Desired:
- Highly desirable: Prior exposure to consumer data domains such as Loyalty, Promotions, Subscriptions, or E-commerce.
- Highly desirable: worked with Microsoft Fabric (OneLake, Azure Synapse, etc.).
- Highly desirable: Experience with any of the following data: SEO (e.g. GSC), Paid Media (e.g. Meta, Google), Retail Media (e.g. Amazon), Web Analytics (GA4, Adobe Analytics)
- Demonstrable experience setting up data quality monitoring workflows.
- Experience with using git.
- Experience analysing data or creating ETL workflows with Python
