Symfony Developer Offline

We're looking for an experienced Symfony developer to join our backend engineering team. You'll work on high-traffic, mission-critical systems that handle thousands of concurrent users and process millions of transactions daily.

What You'll Do

• Design and develop scalable backend services using Symfony 6.x/7.x
• Build and maintain RESTful APIs for our gaming platform and mobile applications
• Implement real-time betting and odds calculation systems
• Develop payment processing integrations with multiple providers
• Work with event-driven architectures using RabbitMQ/Kafka
• Optimize database queries and caching strategies for high-performance systems
• Collaborate with frontend developers, product managers, and DevOps teams
• Ensure compliance with gaming regulations and responsible gambling features
• Participate in code reviews and maintain high code quality standards

Required Skills & Experience

• 1+ years of professional PHP development experience
• 1+ years working with Symfony framework (5.x or newer)
• Strong understanding of OOP, SOLID principles, and design patterns
• Experience with Doctrine ORM and database optimization (MySQL/PostgreSQL)
• Proficiency with API development (REST, GraphQL)
• Knowledge of message queues and asynchronous processing
• Experience with Redis, Elasticsearch, or similar technologies
• Familiarity with Docker and containerized environments
• Strong understanding of security best practices
• Experience with Git and CI/CD pipelines
• Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills

Nice to Have

• Previous experience in the gambling, gaming, or fintech industry
• Knowledge of microservices architecture
• Experience with Kubernetes
• Familiarity with event sourcing and CQRS patterns
• Understanding of gaming regulations (MGA, UKGC, etc.)
• Experience with real-time systems and WebSockets
• Knowledge of PHP 8.x features
• Contributions to open-source projects
