Marketing Lead / Head of Marketing (Build From Scratch)
We operate in the B2B IT services market (outsourcing / outstaffing) and are looking for a proactive Marketing Lead who will take ownership of building our marketing function end-to-end. This is a role for someone who can define strategy and also execute hands-on—setting up systems that consistently generate qualified leads and support revenue growth.
You will help build the marketing department from scratch: strategy, positioning, processes, the first acquisition channels, and hiring/contractors as needed.
Responsibilities:
Marketing Strategy & Leadership
- Define ICPs, value proposition, positioning, and go-to-market messaging.
- Build a marketing roadmap, budgets, and KPI system aligned with revenue goals.
Own planning, prioritization, and reporting (weekly/monthly performance review).
Demand Generation (Inbound + Outbound)
- Build and run outbound systems (LinkedIn + cold email): lists, sequences, personalization, automation, and continuous optimization.
- Build inbound acquisition: SEO strategy, content plan, landing pages, lead magnets, and nurture flows.
Coordinate lead handoff with sales and maintain CRM hygiene to ensure pipeline visibility.
Paid Growth (Meta + Retargeting)
- Plan, launch, and optimize Meta ad campaigns (lead gen, retargeting, conversion).
- Lead creative/testing process: offers, messaging angles, audiences, creatives.
Ensure tracking and attribution basics are in place (UTMs, GA4, Pixel/CAPI where applicable).
SMM & Brand Assets
- Build a consistent SMM/content engine (primarily LinkedIn; optionally Meta platforms).
- Package case studies and service offers into high-converting assets (one-pagers, landing pages, posts, decks).
Team & Process Building
- Establish marketing processes, documentation, and tooling (CRM, automation, analytics).
Hire and manage contractors/specialists (designer, copywriter, SEO, paid ads) or build a small internal team over time.
Requirements
- 4+ years in B2B marketing / demand gen / lead generation (preferably IT services, outsourcing, or agencies).
- Proven experience owning marketing strategy + execution (not just task delivery).
- Strong hands-on skills in:
- Meta Ads (campaign setup, optimization, retargeting, creative testing)
- Outbound (LinkedIn outreach and/or cold email systems + automation tools)
- SEO (keyword research, content strategy, on-page; basic technical understanding)
- SMM (LinkedIn content strategy and execution)
- Comfortable with analytics, funnels, and KPIs (CPL, CAC, CTR, CVR, SQL rate, pipeline contribution).
- CRM experience (HubSpot/Pipedrive/etc.) + ability to build marketing-to-sales workflow.
- Upper-Intermediate+ English (client/partner communication).
Proactive, independent, and results-driven mindset.
Nice to have
- Experience with EU/UK/US markets for IT services.
- Experience with Upwork/Clutch as acquisition channels.
- Experience with GA4/GSC/Looker Studio reporting dashboards.
- Experience building a marketing function or team from scratch.
