Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with business and technology stakeholders to specify the scope of the New Origination System project.
• Break down the project scope into value-generating features that will be delivered and supported by the IT team.
• Contribute to the prioritization and management of the project backlog.
• Define and scope features, enhancements, and fixes.
• Write story-level functional specifications with corresponding acceptance criteria.
• Perform a review and sign-off of completed features/improvements/bug fixes.
• Use expert knowledge of the system behavior to ensure customer and user issues are reviewed and resolved.
• Foster an environment of openness, transparency, and fairness in decision-making both within the IT team and across stakeholder groups.
• Contribute to the development and maintenance of project documentation where appropriate.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of the Software Product team’s capabilities, processes, and ways of working with the wider business.
• Identify, escalate, and manage risks.
Requirements:
• 3+ years experience in a Product Owner role.
• Tertiary qualification(s) in a relevant competency.
• Experience in a financial services environment, preferably credit lending.
• Extensive experience in business analysis and requirements definition.
• Experience working in a collaborative Agile (Scrum / Kanban) environment.
• Strong commercial focus with the ability to assess the value of the feature to be delivered.
• Excellent communication skills.
• A self-motivated, proactive, independent thinker, with a “can do” mentality.
• Experience in data and process modeling.
• Experience working with Atlassian JIRA and Confluence.
• Comfortable working in a collaborative team environment.
