AltexSoft is seeking a journalist to join our editorial team focused on the travel industry and travel technology. The role is centered on expert-led journalism: finding the right voices in the industry, building trust-based relationships, conducting interviews, and turning those conversations into clear, accurate, well-structured articles. Topics and editorial direction will be provided. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys collaborating with experts and distilling complex topics into engaging content.

Required skills

1+ years of experience in journalism Strong interviewing skills: ability to ask thoughtful questions and guide conversations B2–C1 level of English Research and fact-checking Professional communication skills (email, LinkedIn, calls)

Would be a plus

Experience in tech blogging or tech journalism IT industry experience Experience with travel technologies IT literacy Business/economics literacy Experience working with long-form explainers or thought-leadership content

Responsibilities

Identify and research relevant industry experts in travel, travel tech, and related fields Reach out to experts, establish rapport, and build long-term professional relationships Prepare for and conduct structured interviews (via video calls) Write in-depth articles, explainers, and other expert-led featured materials based on interviews and additional research Ensure accuracy, clarity, and logical structure in all materials Contextualize expert opinions with industry data and trends Collaborate with editors and marketers to align content with editorial goals Meet agreed deadlines and respond constructively to editorial feedback
