Job Description
Qualifications:
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s in Computer Science or related degree.
- 3+ years of development experience in a Linux environment.
- 3+ years of configuring and developing software for a distributed database.
- Working knowledge of Python, Perl, shell scripting, PHP, and the Linux operating system.
- Working knowledge of networking principles (e.g., DNS, DHCP, firewalls, etc.) and network troubleshooting.
- Working knowledge of Oracle and Postgres SQL.
- Experience with distributed database architectures and principles.
- Experience with database ACID principles.
Experience with cloud environments like Azure, Google, and AWS. - Strong proven design skills with the ability to work well in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with high expectations.
- Solid experience with the full software development life cycle and a proven track record in successfully bringing products to market.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to interact well with both internal teams and external customers and partners.
- Experience working in an agile scrum environment is a plus.
- Knowledge of the Oracle database, Oracle Golden Gate, and Yugabyte a plus.
Job Responsibilities
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for design and delivery of the database, database replication, and the software responsible for setup, configuration, and integration of the database on the virtual appliance.
- Experience developing and debugging software for a distributed database architecture.
- Experience developing and debugging software in a multi-threaded environment.
- Develop database and replication application functionality within a dynamic agile scrum environment.
- Create high quality code testable through automation.
- Create unit and functional automated tests.
- Participate in troubleshooting and resolution of customer issues.
Department/Project Description
The qualified candidate will work as a member of the platform software development team focused on the database for our customers’ current and future access management appliance. The platform team is responsible for the architecture, design, and development of the access management appliance that are deployed on premises and in cloud environments. This role will include the configuration and maintenance of the distributed database in access management appliance; software development for the setup, configuration, and management of multi-appliance enterprises including database replication and networking; analysis and remediation of reported security vulnerabilities; and remediate customer escalations pertaining to the database or replication.
