Technical Program Manager

Why This Role Exists

We’ve reached the point where execution itself needs an owner, as we’ve hit the scaling point where execution orchestration needs to be a dedicated role rather than a side-of-desk function. Our engineering team ships across mobile, web, backend, and firmware, juggling product roadmap, custom dev projects, and platform improvements simultaneously.

We’re creating a dedicated role to own the delivery engine of the company. The CEO owns product vision and strategy, while you own turning that strategy into shipped, high-quality outcomes—predictably, repeatedly, and without slowing the team down. This is a greenfield role where you’ll design the coordination layer that takes us from a fast startup to a reliable platform company.

What You’ll Actually Do (Day to Day)

Own Delivery Across the Company

  • Be the single-threaded owner for roadmap execution—projects land because you made them land.
  • Coordinate across mobile, web, backend, and firmware teams.
  • Actively manage dependencies, surface risks early, and unblock teams before issues escalate.
  • Run sprint planning, standups, and retrospectives that engineers actually find useful.
  • Make hard prioritization calls when everything feels urgent—and explain why.

Create Clarity & Reduce Noise

  • Take delivery communication off the CEO’s plate.
  • Own updates to internal stakeholders and custom dev customers.
  • Make it obvious what’s: in flight, shipping next.
  • Translate between business context and technical reality without distortion.
  • Set expectations you can hit—and then consistently hit them.

Build Lightweight, Scalable Systems

  • Introduce the minimum effective process needed for a fast-moving team.
  • Fix workflows only when they block shipping—not for process theater.
  • Create systems that increase team autonomy, not bureaucracy.

What This Role Is Not

  • A note-taker or meeting scheduler.
  • A “herder of engineers.”
  • A process enforcer or methodology evangelist.
  • A buffer absorbing impossible demands.

You’ll have real authority, a technical CEO who values execution realism, and a team that respects good coordination.

You’re Likely a Strong Fit If…

You’ve Done This Before

  • You’ve added structure to a scaling startup without killing momentum.
  • You know when to add process—and when to stay out of the way.
  • You’ve lived the tension between “ship fast” and “ship right.”
  • You’re comfortable saying “no” or “not now” to protect focus.

You Bring Real Technical Credibility

  • 5+ years hands-on technical background.
  • 2+ years owning delivery for complex, cross-team projects.
  • B2B SaaS experience, ideally with:
    • custom development alongside product work.
    • customer-facing delivery commitments.
  • You think in systems and scale—processes that work at 5 people and 50.

Your Working Style

  • Bias toward action over perfection.
  • Comfortable operating in ambiguity.
  • Direct, honest communicator who escalates early.
  • Pragmatic, not dogmatic—you care about outcomes, not frameworks.

Why TPMs Like This Role

Real Impact.

Your coordination directly determines whether we hit revenue targets, land big customers, and scale the business. You’re not a “project coordinator”—you’re the execution engine.

Greenfield Opportunity

You’re building the operating system for how we work. Your processes, your systems, your decisions. No legacy mess to untangle.

Direct CEO Partnership

You’ll work directly with the founder daily. High visibility, fast feedback loops, real influence on company direction. Your voice matters in product and strategy conversations.

Role Evolution

This role grows with you. Strong product instincts? Could evolve toward Product Management. Love the program side? Could scale to Head of Delivery or Operations. We’re flexible based on where you want to go.

Remote-First, Async-Friendly

Work from anywhere. We value outcomes over hours. Europe timezone preferred for team overlap, but global candidates considered.

Fast-Moving, High-Trust Culture

Small team, low bureaucracy, high autonomy. We move fast, iterate, and ship. Engineers here are talented and respect good coordination (they want you to succeed).
