Full-Stack (React + Python) Developer for an Online News Media

We are looking for a Full-Stack Developer with a strong focus on front-end development, especially React, and solid experience building modern, user-centered web applications, as well as strong knowledge of Python.

A US client — a leading publisher of news and information that helps people make more informed decisions about important issues affecting their lives — is launching several new projects across its vertical and is seeking a Full-Stack Developer.
The news portal is ranked among the Alexa Top 500 Global Sites.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in a full-stack software development role
• Strong knowledge of JavaScript
• Solid experience with React
• Good knowledge of Python
• Experience with TypeScript or modern ES standards
• Experience with HTML and CSS
• Experience with REST APIs
• Experience with Docker
• Experience with MySQL or PostgreSQL
• Experience with Git
• English level: B2+
• Experience with video streaming or transcoding is a plus

Tech Stack

Responsibilities

• Design and develop solutions for one of the largest news feeds in the world
• Build and maintain modern front-end features with React
• Develop and support back-end services in Python
• Work closely with a distributed, multicultural team using Scrum
