Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central Developer (AL Language)

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central Developer with strong expertise in AL language to design, develop, customize, and maintain Business Central solutions. You will work closely with functional consultants, business stakeholders, and technical teams to deliver scalable ERP enhancements and integrations aligned with business needs.

This role is ideal for a developer who enjoys working on ERP systems, building clean extensions, and contributing to business process automation.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy Business Central extensions using AL language
• Customize standard Business Central functionality based on business requirements
• Develop and maintain integrations with external systems (REST APIs, web services, third-party platforms)
• Create and modify reports using RDLC and/or Word layouts
• Implement data migration and data synchronization solutions
• Optimize performance and ensure scalability and maintainability of solutions
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues and bugs
• Participate in solution design and technical architecture discussions
• Write technical documentation and maintain code standards
• Support version upgrades and extension compatibility with new BC releases
• Collaborate with functional consultants and end users during requirement gathering and UAT

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Proven experience developing in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central or Dynamics NAV
• Strong proficiency in AL language
• Experience with Visual Studio Code and Business Central extensions
• Solid understanding of Business Central architecture, events, and extension model
• Experience with API integrations (REST, SOAP, OData)
• Knowledge of SQL Server and data structures in Business Central
• Experience with Git or other version control systems
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Good communication skills in English (spoken and written)

Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills

• Experience with Azure DevOps or CI/CD pipelines for BC
• Knowledge of Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps)
• Experience with EDI, payment gateways, or logistics integrations
• Experience in finance, supply chain, or manufacturing modules
• Familiarity with Docker-based BC development environments
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
