Backend WordPress Developer (PHP) to $1500 Offline
We are looking for a Backend WordPress Developer (PHP) to join our remote team and work on the development and maintenance of WordPress-based projects.
Location: Remote (Outsourced)
Necessary skills:
— Strong proficiency in WordPress and WooCommerce backend development — 3+ years
— Solid knowledge of PHP and server-side architecture — 3+ years
— Experience building and maintaining custom WordPress plugins, hooks, filters, and integrations
— Experience working with databases (MySQL) and optimizing queries
— Familiarity with REST APIs, third-party integrations, and data synchronization
— Experience with project management tools such as Jira
— Confident communication in English for meetings and written updates
— Proficiency with Git and collaborative workflows
Will be a plus:
— Experience with custom PHP frameworks or internal CMS platforms
— Experience with performance optimization, caching, and security best practices
— Experience with other CMS platforms
— Basic understanding of frontend concepts (no implementation required)
Responsibilities:
— Develop and maintain backend functionality for WordPress and WooCommerce projects
— Build and support custom plugins, integrations, and internal tools
— Work on backend features of a custom PHP-based CMS
— Implement business logic, data processing, and API integrations
— Debug, optimize, and improve existing backend codebases
— Participate in projects managed through Jira, following established workflows
— Collaborate remotely with the team and clients, providing technical input and solutions
