Python Team Lead (iGaming) to $7000

We are an international product Crypto iGaming company with our own B2C products. We work on a high-load project that is actively growing and scaling.
 

We are currently looking for a Python Team Lead who will take ownership of the backend direction, lead the team, and stay hands-on — actively involved in development and writing code.

Responsibilities:
• Lead a team of developers: planning, task allocation, and delivery control
• Stay hands-on: participate in development, implement key features, and solve complex technical tasks
• Design and develop the architecture of Python-based applications and services
• Ensure code quality: conduct code reviews and maintain engineering standards
• Introduce and promote best practices in development and testing
• Maintain and improve CI/CD processes
• Collaborate closely with Development, QA, and DevOps teams
• Mentor and support the team’s growth: technical coaching, knowledge sharing, internal training
• Participate in hiring and technical assessment of new team members
• Resolve technical and organizational challenges related to ongoing projects

Requirements:
• 7+ years of commercial experience with Python, including 2+ years in a team lead role
• Hands-on mindset: willingness and motivation to stay involved in coding and technical problem-solving
• Strong expertise with FastAPI and SQLAlchemy
• Confident knowledge of Git and modern development workflows
• Experience designing and building scalable, high-load systems
• Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes
• Experience working with relational and NoSQL databases
• Solid knowledge of PostgreSQL, including MVCC, indexes, and locking mechanisms
• Experience with asynchronous programming and multithreading
• Ability to write clean, maintainable, and high-performance code
• Strong understanding of architectural principles: Clean / Hexagonal Architecture, DDD, SOLID
• Experience in mentoring and team management

 

Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS / GCP / Azure)
• Experience with big data and stream processing systems (Kafka / Spark)
• Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools (Prometheus / Grafana / Sentry)
• Contribution to open-source projects
