Quality/Process Manager

Project Description:

This project focuses on supporting an industrial OEM's software factory and development process transformation initiative. The scope includes project coordination, stakeholder alignment, planning and tracking of consulting activities related to DevOps, toolchain evaluation, and agile ways of working. The project manager will act as a bridge between the client organization and internal technical consultants, ensuring clarity of scope, structured delivery, and effective communication across regions and disciplines.

Responsibilities:

Define, maintain, and monitor project quality and process standards

Support process alignment across teams, including planning, delivery, and reporting

Track compliance with agreed governance, workflows, and quality gates

Identify process gaps, risks, and improvement opportunities

Facilitate reviews, retrospectives, and quality checkpoints

Collaborate with PMs and technical leads to drive continuous improvement

Mandatory Skills Description:

Experience in quality management, process management, or PMO-related roles

Strong understanding of software development lifecycle and delivery processes

Ability to analyze workflows, identify gaps, and propose practical improvements

Experience working with cross-functional or distributed teams

Good communication and documentation skills in English

Structured, detail-oriented mindset with strong follow-up capability

Nice-to-Have Skills Description:

Experience with process frameworks (e.g. Agile, SAFe, ITIL, CMMI)

Exposure to DevOps, CI/CD, or software factory initiatives

Experience supporting transformation or consulting-style projects

Familiarity with quality metrics, KPIs, or maturity assessments

Experience working with industrial, automotive, or embedded software projects

Ability to work with Japanese or multicultural stakeholders
